I've got a bad feeling about this...

I saw this statement in the task and thought, everyone else has completed this fine, what could possibly go wrong?! Famous last words!

I finally managed to find telnet on my pc, typed in the address and the result was an invalid command. Then I thought I would try to download something from the internet. First choice in my google search was Putty, it sounded ok. I downloaded it and got it running and the result was a black screen with a green dot on it... didn't seem right so I got rid of that pretty quickly - I didn't wait long enough to save a picture of it.

Next on the list was something called ZOC which was successful in connecting to the library, and I found the books - great! Everything was going well until I tried to print it, and instead of being offered an option to email I was just asked to provide a fax number.

So back to the discussion board where I found some advice on how to locate telnet on my pc. I tried the command prompt idea which was not happy at all, more invalid commands.

After a little more digging around the discussion pages I tried the hyperterminal option which allowed me to successfully locate the author again, yay!

But when I asked it to print I got only the following:

I figure there are some issues with the default settings on my computer that I'll need to figure out, if anyone has any ideas on how I can cure this, please yell!

I decided at this stage that since I'd been staring into a computer screen for around 13 hours today, it was time to stop, maybe do some housework... but thought I should try the blinkenlights to brighten up a bit - but hyperterminal decided it wouldn't connect without phone connection..?? I got it to work on ZOC though, so partial success again, but there's definitely something that needs to be tweaked here.

I'd best start that housework. My partner is french and we've got some lovely french cheese here. He will tell you that cheese never dies, but trust me, when you can smell it throughout the house - it really should go. He's out for some pints tonight, I might relocate it in the skip before he notices.

Good night all!
